To the editor,

I'm writing to say how much I enjoyed reading Shayla Howell's feature on the Pictou County music scene ("As Seen on TV," February 15).

I'm a huge INXS fan, so it was wonderful to hear a little of what JD has been up to in his time off from touring. It was also great to hear from Dave Gunning. I've seen him play a few times when he's been down near this area, and I was fortunate enough to see him open for INXS when I made the trip up to the Maritimes last May. I've also had the pleasure of seeing George Canyon perform. They are all great guys, and Pictou County not only has some great talent, but there must be something in the water to make these men humble, friendly and disarmingly charismatic.

I'm looking forward to reading other features about Pictou County in the future.
