Clever and satisfying

The handcuffs are extra tight in the sexually-charged gay drama, Escape Plan. Sylvester Stallone plays a prison escape artist who is tapped by the government to test the security of a new ultra-prison. Suddenly, everything goes wrong. Stripped of his humanity, Stallone must find a hole out while being flogged daily by leather masked guards and their thick, sturdy batons. Arnold Schwarzenegger, actually doing the best acting he's done in decades, plays a silver-haired daddy who takes Stallone into his care. Jim Caviezel is the flaming warden, whose whispery sadism is matched only by his love of elegant clothing. Computer hacker 50 Cent and frisky Amy Ryan are also along for the ride. The cast's commitment, coupled with the clever hijinks one would expect from a reverse heist, prove winning. Escape Plan is a satisfying break-out flick which falters only by not ending with Sly and Arnold passionately kissing on the beach.
