First of all, like all business there is place for improvement and Burrito Jax is no exception, there is a great foundation layed out, which includes late hours, average customer service and a great idea for a product. But... the product you are producing is extremely inconsistant, I am confused by the flavor profiles IE whole black beans on smashed black beans on sweet potato with a sauce that tends to neutralize the flavors of every ingredient. A burrito is supposed to have flavors that POP not just a bunch of mush wrapped into a Sysco tortilla. The portion sizes are the equivilant to a school cafeteria, which is completely unjust since the price of the product is so high, back in the states you can buy a burrito that weighs three pounds and pay 7 dollars, here you buy a burrito for 10 which still leaves you hungry
Re: “More burgers, courtesy of Crispy Cristy”
Gourmet burgers aren't gourmet just because you put a bunch of toppings of them, your probably wondering about cred? I am a merchant mariner, I have been all over the world, with all this traveling comes tasting great food. I have eaten burgers all over the United States most of the stuff that these guys are churning out is rubbish, now needless to say I haven't given Halifax all the chances but the places I have had a meal at aren't anything to write home about. Bottomline is this: Simple is better.
