Remarks: We spoke with George Hallett, in charge of sales and operations at Halifax’s CBS Outdoor office. He assured us that the downed poster would be addressed. So what caused this unsightly mess? In the immortal words of Milli Vanilli, blame it on the rain. “The billboards are a special paper and then a water-based glue, so there’s only so much they can take,” says Hallett. “After 20 days of rain, this kind of thing just happens. I mean, how much rain have we had in the past 20 days? How often does that happen?”
