Actually, it’s what’s still wrong—drainage problems in the planters near the Halifax North Memorial Public Library.

Remarks: We’ve already ranted about the stagnant water that collects in the planters—we issued a ticket about this problem last November. Eight months and one fantastically rainy summer later, progress is flowing…albeit at a trickle. “The two out front along the sidewalk have been fixed in the last three weeks,” says MacMillan. “But there’s still one on the left hand side near the entrance, and on the opposite side…we need to do some excavation work to see exactly what the problem is. It’s an ongoing project.” It suurre is.

Who's Responsible?: Stewart MacMillan, streetscape coordinator with the HRM Capital District. Phone: 490-4002.

Status: Fixed
