Remarks: The city has been cleaning old water pipes in the south end: The bumps covered temporary piping being used in the interim. A note sent to local residents in early fall said that construction would begin on Sept. 25 and last roughly two months. “It’s day-to-day,” said Hannam this week. “We need to pick up some of those plastic lines, but it’s essentially done.” Sure enough, the bumps have since disappeared, and glorious flatness reigns again.
