This “no parking” sign on Maynard is sleeping on the job. Newsflash, signy: Nobody will notice you if you’re lying face-up on the ground—except birds, maybe. Or pilots. Or sad people.

Remarks: These types of malfunctions always amaze us—this wasn’t some rinky-dink sign thrown up with scotch tape and chewing gum: This was a metal sign, held in place by an equally metal pole, anchored in terra firma and reinforced by good old-fashioned Canadian craftsmanship. And yet, here it lies—pole severed, spirit broken. What could have happened here? Did someone fly into an Incredible Hulk-like rage after being ticketed for overnight parking, ripping up signs and kicking children? Our sources say, yes.
