Food Fight for Feed Nova Scotia

Halifax takes on Regina and Victoria in a 48-hour weigh-in challenge.

Warm up that food-fighting arm for Feed Nova Scotia today: A coast-to-coast food fight starts at 6pm, where Halifax competes against both Regina and Victoria to see which city can collect and weigh the most food in 48 hours. It's Halifax's first year participating---Regina and Victoria did a day-long challenge last year, and Regina won with 163,000 kilograms of collected food, resulting in Victoria's mayor Dean Fortin shovelling Regina mayor Pat Fiacco's driveway---and mayor Peter Kelly has entered the ring to help Feed NS raise its 200,000 kilogram goal. Get yourself to Exhibition Park with armloads of food bank donations to join the fight.
