Francofest 2017: Blaise Ndala

The Congolese-Canadian author Blaise Ndala is stealing the spotlight at this year's Francofest, bringing his latest novel Sans capote ni kalachnikov to Halifax. The tome, narrated by two ex-rebel soldiers, tells the story of a world obsessed with celebrity and rife with commodified poverty—and takes a swipe at capitalism and war.
