AboutGlenn has lived in this district his entire life. If fact, he still lives on the same street he grew up on. He is a fourth generation district 14'er, so one could say he knows the geography of the area pretty well. He is a small business owner (which one?) and a Senior Corporate Account Manager (where?), too, so he knows business.
Goals and Issues
Drivers who speed, shortcut and congest his neighbourhood with traffic concern Glenn, so transportation is a big issue. Glenn says we should take the $30 million earmarked for the Bedford ferry and put it towards Metrolink buses. He is also against a third bridge. He wants to implement the Transportation plan. He wants 24 hour downtown buses with security. He wants to close some residential streets to car traffic, promote cycling, carpooling and telecommuting.
And - Glenn is not for high density building in the neighbourhood. "I see this community as single detached housing that is attracting more and more young couples." He is concerned about school closures in the district. Crime is "possibly the most critical issue that faces our city."
On the record
"With the taxes we pay in this district I believe we deserve to have safe sidewalks and drivable streets."
Glenn does not belong to a political party. Glenn chaired the Ardmore Park Restoration Committee. He also sits on "numerous boards and committees" (which ones?). He has worked with the Imagine Our Schools process, the School Advisory Council and Westmount Home and School. He volunteers at the breakfast program at Westmount School.
