Green Dream Smoothie

Halifax’s raw food bar and smoothie-maker extraordinaire reveals all of the good stuff that goes into their blender to make this day-brightening drink.

Ingredients
1 cup local apple,chopped and frozen
1 tbsp shredded coconut
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1 handful of spinach
1 cup Fruition Almond Milk


Method Combine all ingredients in a blender, blend on high until smooth (approximately one minute).

This quick and simple smoothie is a great way to start your day, or as an afternoon snack. Spinach is an excellent source of vitamins A and C, and hemp seeds provide complete protein, minerals, omega-3 and omega-6. Try to chose local and organic ingredients when possible for optimum nutrition.
