Halifax Summer Opera Festival

When: July 20-Aug. 15 2017

The 13th annual festival returns with enough luxe offerings to make any fat lady feel like singing. In particular, we can't wait to see Cavalli's L'Egisto, considered one of the greatest operas of its day, and Carmen, the opera so revolutionary it caused a riot at its 1875 premiere (how punk rock!). Oh, and no Italian is also no problem as all this fest's foreign language offerings have English projections.
