Re: “The Lower Deck, Clayton Park

I wish I could give them less than 1 star.

Friday night, a few weeks back, excited to hear that the lower deck opened it's doors in Clayton park, it was around 9 PM when I entered, greeted at the door by two bouncers who advised that there is an $8 cover.

Immediately i'm dissatisfied, we're in Frigging Clayton Park people! not downtown Halifax!!

Then, I enter the establishment, for anyone who knows the area, Applebees recently closed down, I personally believe that the Applebees crowd has taken over the Lower Deck, I walked in expecting a pub vibe but was met with a family, birthday type vibe - again not impressed.

Don't sell Rickards, another downvote, then i'm told that the kitchen is closed so I can't order any food even though the tables that surround me are full of food, I ask for a pitcher, (21$ for keiths), "Can't run a tab" the waitres says, "it's too busy we can't keep up".

I looked around, the place was dead. quiet.

needless to say I won't be returning, don't waste your money here... just go downtown to get the real vibe, THATS what you pay $8 cover for, not a restaurant full of family dinners.
