Re: “Rotary Accident Runaway

Let me guess, she was driving in the direction of the Herring Cove Rd? That woman is a menace on two wheels. I have watched her cut off two vehicles with that dinky electric scooter over the last couple of weeks and impede traffic by traveling at a rate of speed half that of the posted speed limit on an almost daily basis. She's a terrible driver and a serious safety hazard to herself and others.

Re: “Racism has many colours...

qpmzwonxeibcruv, a university education isn't about indoctrinating students to regurgitate ideas; it's about helping students develop research and critical thinking skills that they can then use to form their own ideas and opinions.

Meow, thank you for saying everything I wanted to say better than I ever could have said it. I will see you at the next Pinko Lefty Feminist PC Fascist Club meeting, as per usual our agenda will focus on raising the ire of bitter middle-aged bigots through our continued campaign to bring in the New World Order.

Re: “Some Common Sense

The woman had just lost her 18 year old brother in a terrible accident when she gave that interview. Most people are in shock and not on their mental a-game after something like that happens and part of the process of trying to make sense of the sudden death of a loved one is looking for a reason why it happened and in some cases, for some people, assigning blame. I'm guessing that in a few weeks when the shock wears off and this woman is thinking more clearly the idea of fencing of part of the resevoir won't seem like such a great idea or a practical solution to help keep swimmers safe.

Re: “Greasy Old Predator

When it comes to racist slurs or jokes, however harmlessly intentioned they may be, silence is complicity. It's not in speaking up when someone says something offensive that someone behaves like a mindless sheep, it's when rather than letting the person who made the comment know they've offended them and risking that they will react (or overreact) negatively, they stand there, listen, and say nothing. I don’t happen to believe that saying nothing serves anyone involved in the situation very well. The person who made the comment might have no idea that they have said something offensive and go on to repeat it and the person who says nothing feels guilty for keeping their mouth shut. Ivan and Martym, you can call me names, tell me to fuck off and die, and dismiss me as a PC fascist but I'm telling you, whether you want to hear it or not, that mocking someone's culture and way of speaking isn't cute , oh-so-hilarious, or irreverently edgy… it's racist and offensive. Does this make you a racist person and mean that you intended to cause hurt/offense by making those kinds of comments/jokes? Probably not, considering your reaction to what I had to say but, it doesn’t mean that it’s a-ok to say that shit either.

Re: “Greasy Old Predator

Fuck you matrym, just because this is an anonymous message board doesn't mean your racist bullshit is ok. I doubt you'd be comfortable mocking someone's accent/race to their face, so what makes it ok for you to do it here?

Re: “Greasy Old Predator

How silly of me, I forgot that racism is totally ok as long as it's only used in the form of a "joke".

Re: “Applebee's

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at Applebee's for the first time recently and I can honestly say I don't remember ever having a worse experience at a restaurant. Our server was extremely rude (to the point of making one of the people at my table cry), the food took forever to arrive and when it did the order was wrong... when at last the correct food was brought to the table it was disgusting. I can't believe such a subpar restaurant has managed to stay afloat for so long.
