Joanne David Accessories (1276 Barrington Street, 404-1276) is closing it’s doors on December 15 due to owner Joanne David--- now Joanne Lawen---moving.

"I have much enjoyed the last five years at JDA Barrington, and a few at Spring Garden (handed over to Pink Mascara)," writes Lawen in an email to Shoptalk. JDA will have a Boxing Day sale before the holidays this year with sales of 50-70 percent off starting Dec. 1, liquidating mannequins, fixtures, jewellery displays and custom-made store props.

"JDA would like to thank its customers over the last five years and all the wonderful people who make Halifax a fashion destination spot for the East Coast," she writes. "It has truly been a rewarding experience." The runs through the first two weeks of December.

"For the FitFlop fans, not to worry, we have handed over the torch to Kick Ass Shoes---who will now carrying the popular brand."
