Klarka Weinwurm

ep (indie)

Klarka Weinwurm's ep may be inspired by the cold loneliness of hitchhiking across the country, but her lovely voice is quietly warm, especially when simply accompanied by a strumming ukelele, an instrument well suited for travel. An album best enjoyed in a silent room so as to not to lose its nuances and thoughtful songwriting, Weinwurm joins the astonishing legion of female singer-songwriters that have graced this region over the past couple of years. "Woodstove Fires" and closer "True North," with its sing-along chorus, "I could not be a better friend," beg for repeat listens. ep is released May 20 at The Paragon Theatre.
