Letters to the Editor | Opinion | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

I enjoyed the article on the cover this week, about Stephen Harpers love affair with George Bush, the senseless wars he feels the need to engage in for the simple sake of being remembered, even as a tyrant, and the general American Hipocrisy as a whole. After reading the article, a friend and I went down to the burial grounds on Barrington St to visit the resting place of the man who burned down the White House and discovered that the place is in a mess. The Stones are severely neglected and most are now unreadable. This is part of our history and its disgraceful that the city of Halifax is not preserving the site for future generations to experience. Monuments are broken, some are sinking into the ground so that you can only read the top 2 lines. In an attempt to read one particular monument I even discovered stolen merhcandise hidden under it.You should all be ashamed take some pride in the city that we all know and love. That is all.
