Dearest Editor,Thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. It's about time the North End receives the positive public attention it deserves. It's refreshing to see the North End in a newspaper, not preceeded by "Another swarming took place in..." This fact is not well known, but the North End was once the prosperous part of the city until it was obliterated by the Explosion and torn apart again by the destruction of Africville. Roots run deep here and I'm proud to be a part of a family that has lived in the North End for five generations. So again, thank you for celebrating the best part of Halifax.
