Little Mysteries, big birthday

It's a saleabration

My how time flies when you’re healing spirits. Downtown bookstore-and-more Little Mysteries (1663 Barrington Street, 423-1313) is celebrating 18 years of holding it down on Barrington. First, let’s give props to this wonderfully unique little shop for nearly two decades of downtown business—its first day of business was April 1, 1995, no joke. Talk about serious lasting power. In honour of being nearly legal, Little Mysteries is having a Birthday Sale this Saturday and Sunday (April 7 and 8). Pop in to the shop with some birthday wishes and test your luck with the Draw for your Discount Sale, where you can get anywhere from 10 to 50 percent off the books, jewellery, oils, stones, crystals and other great little oddities you’ll find inside. “We're delighted to be one of the lasting residents of Barrington Street, and after 18 years, we've seen quite a lot of change on the street,” says one of the shop’s owners, Vanessa Smith. “And we know that's thanks to our lovely customers and supporters, not to mention our wonderful staff.” Let’s hope there’s another 18 years of Mysteries in the cards.
