What do you get when you combine the brilliance of the Bard with the biting wit of the world’s longest running comedy series and the mad skills of an A1 actor? MacHomer! Actor/playwright Rick Miller embodies dozens of Simpsons characters (as well as doing cameos by the likes of Kermit, Kenny and Sean Connery) in this 75-minute multi-media reimagining of MacBeth. His impressions are spot-on and his writing beautifully butchers Shakespeare’s language and plot to create a clever, entertaining and side-achingly funny satire. Technical problems slowed the pace slightly on the night I saw the show---Miller went through mics like Homer goes through donuts---but they were handled with grace and humour. As an added bonus, the evening was capped off by a very funny encore---Bohemian Rhapsody, enlisting 25 of the "most annoying singing voices.” -Kate Watson
