This question is very vague to me. I'm not sure I understand its purpose... Also, to the person who listed in-service days as one of the many benefits teachers get that other do not, I might remind you that "in-service" means that the teachers are 'in service', as in they are participating in mandatory professional development and meetings, not sitting at home collecting vacation pay.
Yes, I echo this! Also, please don't leave your poorly sorted recyclables on the curb in front of my house because then I have to deal with the "rejected" bad. Ugh.
Absolutely agree. This story (or lack thereof) would have the same impact (or lack thereof) if 34 Regular had not mentioned that the woman was Deaf. I suspect hundreds of people yell at bus drivers every day; it is often uncalled for and unfair but it happens. Maybe the woman was fed up having to constantly navigate an inaccessible city at she hit her breaking point, maybe she is just a cranky person, maybe her dog just died, but it really doesn't matter. If the complaint is about how people really shouldn't yell at bus drivers who are just doing their job, that's completely fair. Otherwise, not so much...
Although I like the idea of new and environmentally friendly buses, I think I would prefer the money to go to overhauling the Access-A-Bus service which is poorly managed and really in many ways, inaccessible.
I agree completely in principle, except that EVERY time I use the self checkout something goes wrong. They can't recognize the bag I've brought, the thing doesn't scan, the machine won't take my money etc. etc. I am fairly technologically competent and I never use the self checkout for more than a few items and still I'm sure I hold up the line ups because it never seems to work!!!
