Making Otherwise: Craft and Material Fluency in Contemporary Art

When: Oct. 9-Nov. 30 2014

A celebration of the handmade. The exhibit explores the blurring definitions of art and craft, with contemporary artists using handmade techniques. The melding of these worlds is examined through the work of six artists from across Canada, including Ursula Johnston from Eskasoni and Halifax’s Sarah Maloney. Enjoy an artist’s talk and guided visit on Monday, November 3 at 10:30am. —Julie Sobowale
