Maple Gallery now in Bishops Landing, Del Sol moves

Bedford furniture/craft store relocates, clothing store heads down waterfront

by

The store that sell colour-changing-in-sunlight t-shirts, Del Sol is moving down near the Seaport Market, opening just adjacent to the Seeds Gallery (1099 Marginal Road). June 4 is the opening there, and I have it on good authority there'll be cupcakes.

In the former Del Sol space in Bishop's Landing is Maples Gallery (1475 Lower Water Street, 405-7050). It used to be the Maple Decor Gallery, found at the Bedford Train Station, carrying both furniture and crafts. "That location was not conducive to the amount of furniture we were selling," explains owner Arline Vincent. "No receiving area."

In the new location, the store will continue to feature local artisans such as Holly Carr, Sanna Rahola, Donna Mancini, Daina Scarola, Susan Geddes and Jim Darley. The business will also be carrying jewellery, pottery, painted glass and more.
