Man oh man, NSPIRG knows how to plan a fundraiser. The Nova Scotia Public Interest Research Group, which is all about social and environmental justice, is having a night all about music. In the style of Pecha Kucha, they've invited speakers to present (in the form of speaking, rapping, singing, dancing, you name it) on a song of their choice. Why does Hall & Oates' "You Make My Dreams Come True" have a hold on you? How come Michael Bublé makes your skin crawl? What's your earliest musical memory? NSPIRG is still welcoming music-loving presenters to their lineup (get at [email protected] if you're interested) and this'll turn into a full-fledged dance party as the night goes on.
Saturday April 7, The Bus Stop Theatre, 2203 Gottingen Street, 9pm, $10-$15 (sliding scale)
