Scratchy, colour-splashed odes to the male form by Doug Belding land at the Dart Gallery, heartstring-pulling colour palettes in tow. "Using charcoal and fixative makes for a smelly studio, so I ended up drying them in the bathroom with the fan on—which resulted in the collection title of 'Mens Room'," Belding offers in his artist's statement, adding "The subjects are conveying a wide range of gestures and emotions from playful to stoic… just like real life."
