National Youth Arts Week hits The Spot

Celebrate the creative vibes generated weekly at this innovative creative space for youth and young adults.

National Youth Arts Week hits The Spot
Creative juices flow at The Spot.

Do you know about The Spot? The top-secret-sounding public arts space is actually much the opposite. It's gathering place and creative nook tucked away in The Pavilion, and it's wide open to anyone under 30 to make the most of. Here you can record music, draw, paint, sculpt, snap pictures or just sit and the corner and write. The Spot's opening its doors even wider, to show off all the great things that a group of young people have been working on for the past four months. It's also a celebration of collaboration. And there couldn't be a better time for it than during National Youth Arts Week. "It connects what we are doing on a national level and generates excitement about youth culture, while connecting us with our own communities," says Maya Williams. "This will be something that takes us well beyond NYAW."

Thursday May 3, The Spot, Pavilion, 5816 Cogswell Street, 5-7pm
