How did you get to Sheridan?

Sheridan College is the top Musical Theatre program in the country—fewer than 10 percent of the hundreds who audition are accepted each year. I auditioned there in 2013, but was not accepted, so I had to find a reliable location that would allow me to hone my skills. Knowing the high standard that Neptune Theatre held its shows to, I knew that enrolling in their Musical Theatre Foundation Program would be a smart decision

Did you notice a great change following your education at Neptune?

After I re-auditioned and was accepted into Sheridan's Musical Theatre Performance Program, the school's staff commented on how impressive my improvement was between my 2013 and 2014 auditions.

What was your first acting job like?

My first professional acting job was absolutely petrifying! I was suddenly surrounded by people who had been acting forever, but I think everybody was surprised that I wasn't just some "naive kid" trying to break his way into the industry. Neptune gave me a strong foundation, strong connections and I always had people I could turn to for help without looking stupid. That was absolutely invaluable.

Final words?

The staff at Neptune were kind, smart and they cared wholeheartedly about our successes. I will be indebted to Neptune for a very long time—it opened doors for me, opened my eyes to what theatre was, gave me the best friends I've ever met and got me where I am today. I hope one day I can return as a performer on the mainstage.
