New Year's Eve's hottest meal

With a special menu, and exclusive wines, Morris East's celebratory meal is on fire.

Your last supper of 2011 should really be pizza.

Morris East is getting fired up to ring in 2012. "We like to do a bit of pyrotechnics on New Year's Eve," says owner Jennie Dobbs who says their special celebratory menu has been in the works for about three months. She's talking about the Flaming Mo', an orange and macadamia flavoured rum cocktail that's lit on fire, and one of the three festive desserts you can choose from. So that's awesome. But so is the choice of six pizzas (three favourites, three specials), wood-fired oysters Rockefeller and three mouth-watering starter options (lobster ravioli!). It was tough, but Dobbs managed to save her favourite wines, and a special sparkling wine, from the Port of Wines show for you to wash your meal down with. And why would you ever turn down exclusive wines? Morris East welcomes pre-party diners anytime between 5:30pm and 9:30pm. You should probably make your reservation as soon as you finish reading this.
