To the editor,
Regarding the Dec 22 letter, "Machine green," I used to be a lifelong, well-known NDP activist (to admit my biases, I was also the provincial organizer for the federal Greens in the 2004 campaign in NS, the official agent for Michael Oddy in his recent by-election effort and the Green who nominated Oddy for the post of Interim NS Party Leader, when five of us sat around in Katie Boudreau's kitchen and "invented" the NS Green Party). I regard Jim Harris as a personal friend and I think of him as a Green, pure and simple, neither left nor right, but a little of both.
Jim doesn't have all the answers—but I'm usually deathly scared of anyone who has.
