The Nova Scotia Designer Craft Council is spending the weekend in the park. Their annual summer craft market is moving a couple of blocks up the street, but still showcasing the best in craft, for free, all weekend long. "The canopy of trees bordered by Spring Garden Road, South Park and Martello Streets is an incredible space, the perfect spot to put up our tents and show the world what the finest craftspeople on the east coast

have to offer," says NSDCC's program coordinator Julie Rosvall. Hand-dyed silks, glass work, hand-turned wood, textiles, enough jewellery to fill your jewellery box and oodles more will be available for perusal or purchase, and you'll get a up-close look at talented craftspeople doing their thing.

Jul 22-24, Victoria Park, Spring Garden Road and South Park Street, 10am-8pm (Fri), 10am-6pm (Sat), 10am-5pm (Sun), free
