HRM’s poet laureate Lorri Neilsen Glenn is inviting all authors who have published (or recorded) a book or chapbook in 2008 to read at the inaugural HRM/Mount Saint Vincent University Authors’ Night, on Thursday, January 29, 7pm at the MSVU Library. The free night’s open to the public, and there will be readings, performances, a book crawl, food and, apparently, an exciting announcement from HRM. It is Neilsen Glenn’s last year in her term as poet laureate, so it’s about time for the rumour mill to start churning up (or maybe rhyming) some successor suggestions.

To register as an author, contact Colleen (connolc@halifax.ca, 490-5739) or Karen (patterka@halifax.ca, 490-7390). Be ready to provide them with your name, contact information, plus the publisher/distributor of your book or CD. If MSVU feels like the other end of the world (it’s not), Metro Transit buses will be available.
