My fiancee and I met at work at the IWK hospital in Halifax. Our relationship started over babies and epidurals. Ashley is an anesthesiologist and I'm a nurse. We just returned to the Maritimes after spending a year in Toronto where Ashley completed his training. One of the first things we did was a trip to PEI to visit Ashley's family. We went for a walk one night on a beach on the north shore of PEI. It was twilight and the sunset was beautiful. There was no one else on the beach (other than some persistent mosquitoes), needless to say I was very surprised when Ashley got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. We haven't stopped smiling since!
