Truro's annual rock 'n' roll weekend returns with a collection of the usual suspects: Monster Truck, The Sheepdogs, Matt Mays and The Trews all share headlining status in what is one of the province's biggest tickets of the summer. After a roasting from The Coast last year about absolutely failing on the front of lineup diversity, this year's roster does include the all-girl Toronto offspring of Garbage and Hole that is The Beaches, the only non-male act announced so far. On the one hand, it might be your only local chance to catch the four-piece this summer as it supports its aaaahmazing new EP, The Professional. On the other hand, at this rate the fest won't reach gender parity before the year of our lord 2024.
