Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo

Ah, the Tattoo. The city is overrun by men in kilts, the air is filled with accents from around the world and parking anywhere downtown is laughably difficult. The traditional, military-focused festival features historical re-enactments, pipes, drums, dancers and choirs from around the world. Some international highlights this year include France's Paris Police Gymnastics and Motorcycle Teams, Estonia's Club Piruett and an artistic cycling group from Germany. Legend has it that many of the international guests make a quest to sample a beer at every bar in Halifax, so keep your eyes peeled for those French motorcyclists.
