Cape Breton rock lady Carmen Townsend recalls meeting Matt Dunlop at this year’s Nova Scotia Music Week in the early hours of the morning. “We talked about our favourite concerts with Craig from The Stanfields while the rest of the band slept in chairs around us.” Shortly after their sleep-deprived talk, Dunlop called her up to do this Saturday’s Company House show, with mutual friends Ryan MacGrath and Steven Bowers---both whom Townsend has never shared the stage with. “I am really excited, but every time I hear Ryan sing I get teary-eyed so I hope I can keep it together,” she notes with a laugh.
