Saint Mary's Reading Series: John Terpstra & Mark Silverberg

John Terpstra of Hamilton is a carpenter, cabinetmaker, poet, and prose writer. His many books of poetry include Two or Three Guitars: Selected Poems and, most recently, Brilliant Falls. His four prose books include The Boys, or, Waiting for the Electrician’s Daughter (shortlisted for the Charles Taylor Prize) and, published in fall 2014, The House With the Parapet Wall. Nova Scotia’s Gaspereau Press have published eight of his books. For the first week of March 2014, he is one-week writer-in-residence at Saint Mary’s University. Mark Silverberg has published several poetry chapbooks and the collection Believing the Line: The Jack Siegel Poems. He teaches at Cape Breton University and is the author of The New York School Poets and the Neo-Avant-Garde, as well as editor of New York School Collaborations: The Color of Vowels. Room 101
