AboutSean has lived on Duncan Street for more than 30 years. His neighbour is fellow candidate Jennifer Watts. He looks like a young James Cromwell. He currently works as a realtor and has worked in sales and marketing most of his career. Apparently he has political experience as a consensus builder, although he doesn't offer any concrete instances of doing so.
Goals and Issues
Sean wants a "fair and equitable" tax system to help Seniors and first-time home owners in his neighbourhood. "In general" he favours the Tax Reform initiative. He also wants a strong police force to keep us safe 24/7 and to cut down on litter, posters and graffiti. He is for a bus to the airport and better transportation for commuters. He supports active transportation. Oh, and the Atlantic Gateway. And it seems like he is a proponent of HRM by Design but he doesn't come right out and say so.
On the record
"Council and the municipal staff should serve as a team, each with distinct roles, yet working together in the interests of the public. Professional municipal staff is key to effectively carrying out Council's decisions and direction."
He is a former director of the Downtown Business Improvement District and current President of the Charitable Irish Society of Halifax.
