The next-best-thing to a picture window on a big, blank wall in your bedroom might just be a woven tapestry from Allison Pinsent Baker
. A multi-disciplinary artist based out of rugged Shad Bay, her one-of-a-kind works capture the coastlines, colour schemes and visceral vibes behind the landscapes people love to lose themselves in. Selling her mostly custom pieces under Shad Bay Weaving
since 2017, Pinsent Baker uses ethical, natural fibres (many of her yarns are custom-spun and hand-dyed by her mom) and up-cycled materials, like driftwood mounts, to transport you a little further into the wild.
