Sister Knives

Upbeat indie pop from a band having fun and refusing to be boring live.

Ace Norman, Kat Williams and Lor Sangster formed Sister Knives as a chance to blow off steam. The group's upbeat indie pop (think Plumtree meets Tegan & Sara with a touch of The Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and cheery attitudes turns even the biggest grump in the club to a grinning idiot. This also works at home (see: supremely silly band videos on its YouTube channel). "The true spirit of being in a band for us is to have fun for ourselves and entertain others," says Williams. "Nothing is more infuriating than watching a band up on stage look boring. I want to be able to let loose from my everyday teetotalling life," says Sangster. "It's my chance to yell at the top of my lungs, jump, kick and tell society to go screw itself."
