Six Eight Realty Group opens

Pete Clive is keeping it on the peninsula.

Pete Clive, an agent formerly with Harbourside Reality, has opened his own brokerage firm, Six Eight Realty Group, at 1453 Brenton Street (209-5347). The firm's name comes from his height of six feet, eight inches, says Clive.

Clive came about opening the business almost by accident. "I was just doing some continuing education last year," he explains, "and ended up getting my brokerage licence." At the same time, his spouse, Julie Kells, was looking for a new location for her business, Be. Massage Therapy, at the YMCA, 1565 South Park Street (422-4512); while looking for a site, Clive stumbled upon the Brenton Street building and bought it for his own business. [note: Kells is not now looking for a new location; she's quite happy at the Y and has every intention of staying there.]

The building is just a couple of blocks from his house, says Clive, so he can walk to work. "A lot of us who live on the peninsula made a commit to sacrifice, to be able to live without a car, to be able to walk or bike or bus to where we need to go, and I wasn't liking driving out to Fairview every day, so this felt right."

Six Eight will specialize in residential sales, mostly on the peninsula and Purcell's Cove. See SixEight.ca for more info.
