I've said it before and I'll say it again, thank god for The Rock

Everyone on all sides of the drug war is a big, giant jerk except for The Rock in the engaging little drama, Snitch. After his son is illogically given 30 years jail time for accepting a parcel of pills, hard-working divorced dad The Rock agrees to work with federal prosecutors in a mindbogglingly stupid attempt to set up drug kingpins like Benjamin Bratt and Omar from The Wire. There's tremendous legwork getting this beast of a plot up and running, what with merciless prosecutor Susan Sarandon giving not an ounce of compassion in forcing a scared father into a border crossing, million dollar drug run. But clanky framework aside, once things are up and running Snitch proves itself a gripping little thriller. It showcases the people and problems in the war on drugs with a diesel-fuelled busting of balls; like a B-movie Traffic that thankfully stars The Rock.
