Someone special

Rose Cousins' three-day spread at The Carleton will be rife with special guests.

Someone special
Rose Cousins is a folk star.

Rose Cousins will be fresh off a tour with Ari Hest when she makes her way to The Carleton for her three-day spread early next week. And touring with Hest was all kinds of awesome. "He's freaking dreamy," says Cousins. "I wish his voice was a sleeping bag and I could crawl into it." It's a compliment that a lot of fans would like to turn around and send right back her way---judging from the third show that was added last minute and the stack of friends that can expect to join her on stage as special guests. "I always come home and try to pull as many of my friends in as I possibly can, and choose some openers that I'm really into and that can participate in my set very collaboratively. It's my favourite thing to do. I'll have a cast of talented local friends with me," Cousins promises. You'll have to head to a show yourself to find out who.
