- Chloe Jones and Matt Fudge: musical rescue heroes
This Sound Will Save You isn't the arrogant band you might assume it is. It makes a bold statement, but underneath it is a dreamy haze of electro-pop that's adventurous, but not the slightest bit pompous. "We just felt like the music we were making was kind of saving us," says the inimitably voiced Chloe Jones of the name. She and her partner in collaborative crime, Matt Fudge, have had a big year of writing, experimenting and recording to arrive on that sound, which has in turn taken them to Europe, landed a track on the CW's The L.A.Complex and most recently, resulted in a new EP, A Place to Start (featuring a songwriting collaboration with Martha and the Muffins, no less), to show off. With the new addition of Jones' sister Amber on drums and a full length album in the works for winter, this is likely just the first of many explosions for TSWSY.
Watch out for the aftershock.
