To the editor,
I'm quite sure the most irritating thing for many of your readers is another letter on Sunday shopping. So here goes. Although last week "SOAP" and "Anonymous's" letters were fascinating in their logic and clarity, they may have missed two small points. "We" did vote and we voted no. And I've lived in cities with Sunday shopping and I've lived here. Feel free to mock the idea of a "peaceful Sunday morning," but from experience it can be said that the city "feels" better when most people have found something other than shopping to do. One could value that or not. Denying it doesn't make it less true.
