Once an intimate celebration, this annual rocker has come a long way in the last 14 years. After outgrowing Don Adams' north end backyard back in the late '90s, the Witches' Ball has since hopped around the city's hottest venues and drawn in a long and impressive list of performers, but its mission has remained. "I wanted to provide a window to people curious about what modern paganism means," says Adams of Ball, which he calls "a party which happens to be attended by local pagans." But pagan or not, you really shouldn't miss out on this. On top of highly danceable tunes, there'll also be burlesque teases from Scarlett Sparks and potential prizes for those who show up in costume. Costume? Aha! I knew there was an excuse to extend Halloween.
