The Poets are Coming

When: Tue., Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m. 2009

Brick Books hosts an evening of "new and newish" work with writers Sue Goyette, Carolyn Smart and Carole Langille. The small poetry press, based in London, Ontario, brings Smart to Halifax from Queens University---where she currently teaches---to read from her work Hooked, seven poems, while local poets Langille and Goyette---instructors in Dalhousie's Creative Writing program---will bookend Smart's reading with work of their own. Langille will read from her most recent book of poetry, Late In A Slow Time, and Goyette says she'll be reading from her new collection, Outskirts, which will soon be published by Brick Books. –Holly Gordon
