Anton Chekhov's play The Seagull directed by Tanja Jacobs. To the bored inhabitants of a stifling country estate, seagulls seem happy and free – and so does the stage. Clever, innocent Nina dreams of becoming an actress and the young playwright Konstantin is determined to reinvent theatre. But they are surrounded by the disappointed, the cynical, and the unimaginative. Can artistic and romantic dreams come true in a world where flight can be halted by the hunter’s gun?
