To the editor,
While it's true that Q104 seems bent towards a "Maxim" attitude these days, I find it somewhat hypocritical of The Coast to shame the rock station for posting bikini-clad (but not naked) women on its website ("Thong of the Day"). Twelve flips further into The Coast will bring you to the bar scene section: every week containing some wet t-shirt-sporting, skirt-hiking girl (or girls, if it's a 'Threesome" night) trying to entice me to go to a bar. I know that advertisements keep The Coast free, but do I have to see this garbage to find out what's going on downtown? The girls in your ads might have slightly more clothes on than the girls on the Q104 website, but that's just (excuse the expression) tit for tat. Disgusting as it is, exploitation of women's bodies happens everywhere. I say, whoever is righteous, let them cast the first stone.
