Two Hours Traffic
Isolator
(Fontana North)
Multiple ECMA nominee Two Hours Traffic is well on its way to becoming a great band. On its latest release, an EP called Isolator, the quartet from Prince Edward Island offers six tracks of pure pop gold. Liam Corcoran has matured into a singer commanding attention. His tenor voice is just torn and frayed enough to give him character. The songwriting’s become a lot more confident too. A great example: “Heatseeker” is actually a drowsy tune that calls forth comparison with Mark Kozalek and his Red House Painters. The energetic pop tunes, such as “Stuck for the Summer” and “Jezebel,” make a great case for the brilliance of this band.
