Unearthed

When: Nov. 29-Jan. 7 2018

Pat Loucks' textile works are the weathered, worn pieces you'd expect to come from an excavation site—and that's the point: "I am drawn to the way aging process can yield beautiful imagery while at the same time symbolizing the transience of human structures. Cloth literally absorbs colour, marks and patterns, becoming like an artefact," Loucks says of this Halifax Explosion memorial show.
